District Guide
Taman Melawati is very interestingly dubbed the “Hollywood” of Malaysia with all the local celebrity spotting one can do when in the area, as many of Malaysia’s most famous reside in its premises. With Selangor losing out in having it under its name by a margin, Kuala Lumpur is technically considered its home. It has The International School of Kuala Lumpur’s elementary campus and being true to its status, the Malaysia Institute of Art (MIA).
In true celebrity fashion, the understated luxury is apparent with a private clinic; a popular hiking hill called Bukit Tabur and the Negara Zoo located nearby. It proves to be a good central spot with amenities and recreational facilities around the corner. Its location seems to be perfectly planned as well, as it is along KL’s Middle Ring Road 2. It has RapidKL service and can be travelled to via train fromTitiwangasa and Wangsa Maju LRT stations. To top it all off, it is even linked to the City Centre through the Jalan Ampang and Ampang – Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway.
